Frequently Asked Questions
Why isn't Amazon in here, and what do you cover?
Amazon isn't a retailer here. To appear at all, a retailer connects a product feed to the engine, and Amazon has chosen to keep shopping on its own site. We don't see inside Rufus, and Walmart Sparky and Alexa aren't covered either. What we do cover is ChatGPT, Google AI Overview and Google AI Mode, and every retailer that has opted in, Walmart and Target among them.
How much of my prompt set actually triggers shopping?
A subset, and it varies by category. Product-led categories trigger listings far more often than solution-led ones, because people don't ask for oregano, they ask how to make the pasta. The first thing we run is an analysis of your prompt universe, so you see the real figure for your categories before you choose a single brand.
Does this replace our digital-shelf tools?
No. Your digital-shelf tools measure what happens inside a retailer's site: your PDP, your search rank, your content on Walmart.com. This measures what happens before that, when an AI answer decides which product and which retailer to send a shopper to. Teams run both.
Where does the optimization actually happen, and do you ingest our catalog?
Off the platform, and no. You export the catalog from your PIM, we analyse and enrich the attributes against your rules, and your team pushes the enriched PDPs back through syndication. The platform is the monitoring surface, so it informs the optimization without ever holding your catalog.
How is claims language governed, and what if a retailer won't take what we send?
Your brand book and legal guidelines go in as guardrails before anything is written, and a validation layer checks every output against that rule set. Nothing is syndicated without your sign-off. Where a retailer takes a different field set, we build that retailer's variant rather than sending one feed everywhere and hoping it lands.
Can you tie this to sales?
Not today. Retailer click data comes back aggregated and anonymised, so no listing traces to a specific purchase. You get the opportunity side: which queries trigger listings, which products get picked, which retailers carry them, and how all of that moves after you enrich. Closing the loop to revenue is the next frontier, and we'd rather say so now than at renewal.
How much lands on my team, and how long before we see anything?
The first audit is the heavy lift. After that the platform runs weekly on its own, the crew handles the decode and the bulk enrichment, and your team reviews and approves. Broader reviews run roughly quarterly, so this is not a weekly workstream for you. On timing, it depends on when each retailer ingests your feed, which sits outside our control. The re-measure gives you a clean before and after on the same queries whenever it lands.
How ready is this, who's using it, and do you work outside the US?
It's available in the product and in use at Fortune 500 companies across several categories. Any English-speaking market works today, and other languages add a layer. The shopping surfaces are still changing every few months, so the module changes with them.
